To cancel your Linux Website Hosting Service (cPanel) from mywebhostingaccount.com, you can do the following steps:
- Login to your account on mywebhostingaccount.com
- In the top menu click on "My Services - My Services".
- Click on the service row (clicking on the domain name will just take you to that domain's website). The service will be defined by the cPanel "Primary Domain". The Addon domains are still in the cPanel the same way though.
- Under the "Actions" menu, click "Request Cancellation".
- It will take you to a page where it will ask for a brief description of the reason for cancelling, and give you the "Cancellation Type" option of cancelling immediately (services become inactive immediately) or cancelling at the end of the current billing period (services will remain active until the end of the current billing period).
- Click "Request Cancellation" to complete the cancellation request.
Note: Refunds or partial refunds are not given for services cancelled after the current billing period has been paid for and has started. A refund may be given if a service is paid for ahead of time, and is cancelled before the billing period starts.
Note: After the service is cancelled it will become inactive, but the contents will stay on the server for at least 60 days after expiration, during which time you can contact us to reactivate the web hosting without losing any content. 60 days after expiration, the web hosting content may be deleted from our server entirely, and not be able to be reactivated or retrieved anymore. To save / download your web hosting content, you can use FTP (HelpDesk article: FTP in cPanel), or you can run a backup (HelpDesk article: Manually Backup Web Hosting Content in cPanel).
